At Respected, we take the education of your child very seriously.

That is why we only introduce topics when we know that it is an appropriate age to do so. We also try our best to explain complex issues in a way that is understandable and relevant to their stage of life.

We prioritise your child’s safety and encourage them to talk through the issues with a trusted adult at every stage. You can find out more about how to talk to your child about difficult issues here.

Complex and Difficult topics

We believe that it is necessary to address some complex and difficult topics in our programme in order to keep your child safe and healthy. This is always evidence based and done in a sensitive and age-appropriate way. For example, in Year 8, at a time when many children first get a smart phone, we explore how what they consume online may influence how they view themselves and others. These online influences can include pornography. We understand that this may raise concerns and so have included more information below for those who wish to know more.
